They are both great with other kitties. They want a home without small children or dogs. They were rescued from the Children’s Museum in Poughkeepsie 2years ago. These black beauties have been waiting a long time for their forever home! They have so much love to give!

OTIS 2008 He was the biggest and laziest. He is the perfect lap kitty. Otis just liked to lay around and play. He was adopted with Daisy and they are both very happy in their new home.

MIDNIGHT 2004 I moved again and shortly afterwards I came home one night after work and this beautiful long haired black cat was rolling all over my feet! Every time I move another cat shows up! I called AWAN again and they took him right away. A few weeks later, they walk into Petsmart with him and someone adopted him before he even made it into the cage.

BIG RED 2001 One night I heard crying outside the front of the house. I open the door and I see this big red face looking up at me! I got him neutered and dewormed several days later. He was rough around the edges, but a great cat. I had to hold him for a week until AWAN was able to put him at Petsmart. He was adopted 2 weeks later!

NEKO 2000 I hit him with my car on a cold December evening in 2000! The only thing that happened to him was his jaw was slightly misplaced. He had a collar and no tag on him. Nobody claimed him at the vet, so I was able to adopt my first baby boy!

PUNKIN 1999 Saw her for the first time on April 10th, 1999. She gave birth the next day! She had 6 kittens and only 3 survived because they all got stuck in the birth canal. I resuscitated Cuddles, the red head that I still have today.

ANGELA Angela is a 2 year old female is spayed, negative for FIV & Leukemia, dewormed and up to date with her shots. She is shy until she gets to know you. Then she purrs and rubs all over you! Angela is waiting for her special someone to take her home to love and pamper her!

ELI & EMILY This 1 year old brother and sister were found by the children’s museum in the city of Poughkeepsie. I am glad these gorgeous kitties are no longer living on the street. They are sweet and lovable and have the softest fur! These gems are being overlooked because it is kitten season. Come over to meet these angels to see their sweet personalities!

BABY GIRL This 1 year old female is a love bug! When she is done playing, she jumps on your lap, makes some bread and suckles herself to sleep! Baby Girl will sleep with you all night long. She prefers a home without small children. Baby Girl is longing for a loving home preferably with another playful kitty!

Redd Redd was someone’s pet that was discarded outside to fend for himself. Redd is so happy to be off the street! He is approximately 6 yrs old, healthy, has an old eye injury, and recently had dental work done. Redd needs someone who will have patience while he learns to trust a human again. He has so much love to give to his special person!

Seven This handsome 3 year old was found hungry and with half his hair missing from a flea allergy. He is now healthy, completely vetted, and ready for love! Yes, Seven has seven toes! A polydactyl kitty, which makes him extra cute! He LOVES dogs! Seven is longing for a home to call his own!

CASEY Sweet 2 yr old female needs a home asap! She is very affectionate and playful. Casey needs to be the only pet in the home and doesn’t like to be confined. She can can an indoor/outdoor kitty under the right circumstances. 2 year old female This beautiful girl is a true lap cat! She will lay in your lap for hours nuzzling you and giving you kisses! She has the sweetest personality.

Princess Zena Princess Zena was due to be euthanized on the very morning that she was rescued. Hours later not only was she was rescued but she gave birth to 5 kittens and the whole family was saved. Luckily for her and her kittens that a rescue tagged her the night before. Since then she has rewarded us for saving her by nursing other cats kittens that were abandoned. She loved and fed everyone of them through the summer. Now she looking for her own home. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and luk/aids neg. Princess Zena thinks she is a dog. Reddy Reddy showed up in a feral colony. He is a sweet loving boy who doesn’t belong on the street. He will be fully vetted and ready for adoption in two weeks.

Thomas This sweet 10 month old male showed up in a large apartment complex with a large lump on his back. It was an abscess that ruptured overnight and was treated by a vet. He has been given a clean bill of health and is microchipped. Thomas is good with kids and other pets. He is very affectionate and full of love!

Sebastian This handsome boy was found in a large apartment complex. He is very shy but loves attention. He needs a quiet loving home with a woman who will give him the time he needs to come out of his shell. Sebastian deserves to have a loving forever home!

Mama and female kitten This friendly 2year old mama was found near the riverfront in the city of Poughkeepsie under a dumpster with her kittens. She and her last female kitten are vetted and ready for adoption.

Scrumscious Scrumscious is a 3 year old female. She was found 3 years ago on the 4th of July with a bad cold and a cutereba in her neck. She was adopted as a baby and returned because owners had to move. I had her back for almost a year and was adopted on Christmas Day last year. I just got a phone call this morning that her Mommy is very sick and can no longer care for her. My prayers go out to her Mommy! Poor Scrumscious is being uprooted again. I feel so bad for her! She is such a loving cat. She prefers a quiet home and preferably the only pet.

Alba Alba is about 2 years old. He was dumped into a feral colony and is currently in a foster home waiting for his forever loving home. He is very sweet and loves to be pet and held. Alba is looking for a home with no other pets.

Miyagi 11 year old female. Miyagi was being fed outside by several people for several years. She showed up one day very sick, so Liz took her in. After several visits to the vet, Miyagi is feeling much better. She has scarring in both eyes but can still see. She is very sweet and loves to be brushed.
